A Double Win for Outside Productions at the 2026 Seaglass Awards

Outside Productions is proud to share that we recently received two 2026 Seaglass Awards from Florida Design, with honors in both Best Pool Design and Best Driveway Design. The winning projects, Palm Mosaic Retreat and Solara Shores Manor, reflect our continued commitment to designing outdoor environments that are as technically thoughtful as they are visually unforgettable.

These awards recognize two distinct design moments, one centered around waterfront resort-style living and the other around the art of arrival. Together, they represent the level of detail, coordination, and design value that defines our approach to luxury residential landscape architecture in Naples, Florida.

Best Pool Design: Palm Mosaic Retreat

Located in the prestigious Port Royal neighborhood, Palm Mosaic Retreat was designed as a waterfront escape that balances luxury, sustainability, and technical innovation. The homeowners wanted a resort-level outdoor environment that could support everyday family life, sunset entertaining, and long-term performance.

At the center of the design is a generously scaled pool with a dark interior finish, selected not only for its dramatic reflective quality, but also for its ability to absorb and retain heat more efficiently. This thoughtful material decision helps reduce heating demands while allowing the homeowners to enjoy a larger pool without unnecessary energy costs.

The pool also features a fully concealed perimeter gutter, deck-level water, a dramatic infinity edge, a sun shelf, sunken spa, fountain basin, hidden surge tank, and custom engineered water weirs. Each element was designed to work together seamlessly, creating a mirror-like water surface that feels calm, architectural, and deeply connected to the waterfront setting.

Beyond the technical precision, Palm Mosaic Retreat is ultimately about experience. Through careful grading, lush tropical planting, and a considered relationship between the home, pool, dock, fire pit, and landscape, the space becomes a true private resort. It is designed for the way the clients live, gather, entertain, and move through their outdoor environment.

Best Driveway Design: Solara Shores Manor

Solara Shores Manor, also located in Port Royal, was honored for Best Driveway Design. This project transforms the driveway from a purely functional necessity into a refined arrival sequence that sets the tone for the entire estate.

The design uses a cobblestone-inspired paver system paired with precision turf inlays, creating a tailored pattern that softens the hardscape while visually breaking down the scale of the motor court. The turf joints also support natural stormwater infiltration and help reduce heat gain, an especially important consideration in Southwest Florida’s subtropical climate.

One of the central design challenges was balancing vehicular circulation with a sense of garden-like arrival. Layered tropical planting frames the driveway and leads the eye toward a mature banyan tree, which serves as a living focal point. Its expansive canopy creates enclosure, shade, and a memorable sense of arrival, turning the front approach into a destination moment.

Subtle grade transitions, precise paving alignment, and integrated landscape lighting ensure that the driveway feels just as intentional at night as it does during the day. The result is a sophisticated arrival experience that reflects the elegance of coastal Naples living.
