OPI Celebrates Two 2026 Oasis Award-Winning Projects

Outside Productions, Inc. is honored to announce that two of our private residential projects, Casa Palma Azul and Palm Mosaic Retreat, have been recognized in the 2026 Oasis Awards by Luxury Pools + Outdoor Living Magazine.
The annual Oasis Awards celebrate exceptional outdoor living environments from across the country, highlighting projects that push the boundaries of pool design, landscape architecture, exterior living, and residential resort-style design. To have two OPI projects included among this year’s winners is an incredible honor and a meaningful reflection of the creativity, collaboration, and technical precision behind our work.
Recognized as Layered Design, Casa Palma Azul is a modern coastal retreat where architecture, landscape, and water are composed as one seamless experience. Designed by Cari, OPI’s Senior Manager of Residential Design, the project began as a spec home with a vision rooted in elevated outdoor living, refined coastal character, and broad residential appeal.
Midway through the design process, the home was purchased by a large family, and the direction immediately became more personal. The foundation of the design was already in place, but the project evolved into something much more specific: an outdoor environment shaped around the way this family wanted to live, gather, entertain, and move through the home each day.
The outdoor living spaces were designed to support both connection and retreat. Generous sun deck areas, garden moments, a large sunken fire pit that backs up to the pool, and open gathering zones create places for the family to come together, while still allowing room for quieter moments throughout the property. With a main house and a separate casita, the landscape became the connective tissue between the two structures, transforming the outdoor space from a visual pass-through into a true extension of the home.
Every detail was considered through the lens of functionality. Additional parking was incorporated for teenage drivers, basketball areas were created for the boys, and turf inlays were used to withstand the movement and activity of a busy household. Planting, turf, and water elements were layered throughout the design to break up large expanses of paving, soften the architecture, and create interest from every major focal point of the home.
What makes Casa Palma Azul especially meaningful is that it was never designed simply to be looked at. It was designed to be lived in. The OPI team worked closely with the family, including the children, to understand how each space needed to function. The result is an award-winning outdoor environment that balances sophistication with comfort, creating a polished yet deeply usable family retreat.
At Casa Palma Azul, landscape architecture becomes an active part of daily life. The pool, fire pit, gardens, turf areas, water features, and circulation spaces all work together to create a home that feels connected, welcoming, and distinctly personal.
Recognized as Edge of Reflection, Palm Mosaic Retreat is a waterfront estate in Port Royal designed by Pat, Owner and Founder of OPI. Completed in 2023, the project reflects a careful balance of luxury, sustainability, and technical innovation, creating a resort-style outdoor environment designed for both entertaining and everyday family life.
Set along the water in one of Naples’ most prestigious neighborhoods, the pool concept was shaped around the homeowners’ desire for resort-level comfort without unnecessary energy demand. One of the project’s key design decisions was the use of a dark interior pool finish, selected not only for its dramatic visual effect, but also for its ability to improve heat absorption and retention. This allowed the homeowners to enjoy a generously scaled pool while helping reduce the need to heat excess water volume.
The aquatic environment showcases a remarkable level of craftsmanship and engineering. A fully concealed perimeter gutter and deck-level water surface create a seamless, mirror-like reflection that flows into a dramatic infinity edge. Achieving this level of precision required exact grading, custom hydrodynamic solutions, and close coordination across the project team.
Behind the effortless beauty of the water is a complex system of interdependent features. A hidden surge tank and custom-engineered water weirs support the sun shelf, sunken spa, fountain basin, and infinity edge, allowing each element to operate in harmony. The result is a pool environment that feels visually serene while relying on highly technical systems beneath the surface.
The site also presented significant elevation changes, requiring careful grading to connect the home, pool, fire pit, dock, and surrounding landscape. Lush tropical planting and preserved landscape buffers soften the architecture while maintaining privacy and a strong sense of place. Every transition was designed to feel seamless, allowing the pool and landscape to frame the waterfront views rather than compete with them.
Facing west, Palm Mosaic Retreat captures the glow of Naples sunsets across the water, transforming the pool into a reflective focal point throughout the day and evening. It is a project defined by precision, performance, and atmosphere: an award-winning outdoor retreat where technical mastery supports a deeply luxurious experience.

Both Casa Palma Azul and Palm Mosaic Retreat represent the level of design excellence that defines Outside Productions, Inc. Each project required thoughtful collaboration between architects, builders, interior designers, photographers, clients, and the OPI team to bring a complete outdoor vision to life.
